The percentile score will be calculated based on the candidate’s AIR and its relative position compared to the rank holders. The NEET Percentile is calculated using the given formula:
NEET Percentile = 100 X Number of candidates appeared with raw score / Total number of candidates appeared
The NEET tiebreaker rule determines the final merit or rank of candidates who score the same marks in the NEET exam. It is important because the final merit or rank determines a candidate's eligibility for admission to medical or dental colleges.
Here's how the NEET tie breaker rule works:
The NEET Result 2023 will consist of several components that students need to be aware of to understand their performance in the exam. These components include the scorecard, percentile rank, and qualifying cut-off.
The scorecard will show the total marks obtained by the student in the NEET exam and the individual marks obtained in each subject - Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. The percentile rank will indicate how the student has performed compared to other students who have appeared for the NEET exam. This rank will be based on the highest score obtained in the exam and will be calculated up to seven decimal places.
The qualifying cut-off is the minimum score a student needs to obtain to be eligible for admission to medical or dental colleges. The cut-off score will vary depending on factors such as the difficulty level of the exam and the number of students who have appeared for the exam. Students who score above the cut-off will be eligible for admission to colleges, while those who score below the cut-off will not be eligible.
Students need to understand these components of the NEET Result 2023, as this will help them determine their eligibility for admission and plan their next steps accordingly.
